Danielle Lammon is a highly motivated and driven community leader whose life story is defined by perseverance, service, and an unwavering commitment to others. Her journey—from teen mother to respected civic leader, nonprofit founder, author, and candidate for the State Senate—is a testament to resilience, hard work, and heart.

Danielle and her husband are celebrating 30 years of marriage, have raised four children through military life, and today, she is also a military mother and the grandmother of two adopted grandsons. Her family’s story reflects the values she brings to public service: strength, loyalty, and compassion.

For more than ten years, Danielle has led projects and organizations that make a lasting difference in the Aurora community:

– Community Development: She partnered with her team to create Aurora’s only Sensory Garden at Star K Ranch and played a key role in bringing Aurora’s first Accessible Playground to life, reflecting her belief that communities flourish when everyone has a safe place to play & have fun.

– Public Safety: Danielle is the Founder & CEO of the Aurora Fire Foundation, supporting first responders and strengthening public safety.

– Literacy: As the Founder of the Buddy Publishing Foundation / Imagination Library Aurora, she has delivered over 146,000 free books to more than 7,800 children in just three years. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Imagination Library Colorado.

Her dedication extends to serving as Chair of the Spina Bifida Association of Colorado, graduating from Leadership Aurora, and representing the business community as an Aurora Chamber of Commerce Ambassador. She has also served as Past-Chair of the City of Aurora Citizens Budget Committee and Past President of the Rotary Club of Aurora.

A retired small-business owner, Danielle brings real-world experience rooted in innovation, accountability, and fiscal responsibility. She holds a B.A. in Biology, a Minor in Psychology, and an advanced certificate in Project Management.
